Ok White Honda Odyssey. I see you. I see you at 7:45 every morning in the far right lane heading south on Thomasville Road. You know, that far right lane that is actually the Peidmont Rd. merge lane? That far right lane. I see you speed past the rest of us, you with your "Let us Love one Another", "Be Positive" and "Motherhood is a proud profession" homemade bumper stickers. I see you cut off everyone else when your merge lane ends and you have to join the rest of us moving along Thomasville Road. And you know what, Odyssey? Then I see you get in the far left lane, and when we get up around Bettons Hills and Miracle 5, when that far left lane merges, I again see you speed past every other car only to cut off some poor individual who has been sitting in traffic like the rest of the 500 of us on their way into work. And I see you do this every. single. morning.
You're a giant jerk.
And you know what Odyssey? We all see you. Me, garnet Explorer, black Boxster, forest green Jeep, white Avalon, silver CRV. We would understand if this happened every once in a while, hey who doesn't like the thrill of the merge lane? But every morning, White Odyssey? Really? Well I'm here to say we're on to you. We think you're a giant phoney. We see what you're up to. And we don't like it. One bit.
I can relate. You know why? Because I am the Silver Jetta that speeds up the right lane on Mahan at Capital Circle. I know it's the turn only lane onto Cap Cir, but I don't care. I don't care because everyone else that sits in traffic doesn't know how to GAS IT when the light turns green. However, my car is 1/4 size of an Odyssey and that may tick me off as well :)
ReplyDeleteI ALWAYS avoid mini-vans....I have a passionate hatred for mini-vans. I can understand your frustration dear friend.
ReplyDeleteThe CRV.... you know who is driving that!
ReplyDeleteJulia, that is really funny.
